iTelehealth.uk has recently been appointed as a distributor for a family of best-in-class COVID-19 rapid test kits.

Our Rapid Antibody Tester is intended for use in pharmacies and clinics. It is not a home test kit. The kit tests for the Immunoglobulin M (IgM) and Immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies, both of which are indicators that a person has previously been infected with COVID-19 and may possibly be immune to repeat infection. The Rapid Antibody Tester produces a result within 20 minutes, normally less. The tester can produce results from whole blood, serum or plasma samples.

The UK Government MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) recently performed detailed performance and usability tests on eleven rapid antibody testers. Ours came top in the MHRA evaluation, so is the best-in-class solution currently on the market.

Our Rapid Antigen Test Kit is designed to show if someone is currently infected with COVID-19. Scientists estimate that between 30% and 40% of people infected with COVID-19 are asymptomatic, so unaware that they may be infecting other people. Like the Antibody Test Kit, our system produces results in-situ within twenty minutes from a nasal or throat swab. The speed of producing a result is proportional to the level of infection – for a seriously infected person, a result can be achieved in one minute.

The Rapid Antigen Test Kit is currently undergoing detailed evaluation at the Porton Down research facility, under the aegis of the UK Government’s Department of Health and Social Care. The Kit has successfully passed the first two phases of evaluation and is currently undergoing the third and final phase.

Our Rapid PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) COVID-19 test kit has been on the market for some time. A PCR test is over 97% accurate but requires a PCR machine (which is already commonly available at most analysis). The PCR kit is compatible with all In-Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) PCR machines. The PCR test takes about 90 minutes to obtain a result. We are not manufacturers of PCR machines. Each PCR Test kit includes 2 individual tests one for each gene (E and RPRQ) to increase accuracy

Subject to demand, we’re hoping to set up a UK factory manufacturing test kits, creating new jobs for people who’ve lost their jobs during the pandemic and helping the economy recover from the recession.

Contact-free Temperature Measurement

We are also the UK distributor for a kiosk designed to automate the process of taking measurements of people arriving at airports, railway stations, workplaces, etc.

The kiosks operate on a completely contact-free temperature basis. They can be networked with adjacent kiosks and a host server via Wi-Fi and can support integrated facial recognition if required and/or permitted by local privacy law considerations.

How it works

The kiosk is designed to be a rapid solution for testing hundreds of people an hour via an incredibly simple process:

  1. The person arrives at the kiosk
  2. They stand on the base plate and follow the on-screen instructions
  3. Their temperature is measured and they are immediately informed of results via a simple traffic-light interface

Benefits

  • Maintains Personnel Flow – can take over 600 readings per hour
  • Produces a Result in less than 2 Seconds
  • Stores Result Data which can be Anonymised and Uploaded to a Contact Tracing System
  • Can be Interfaced with Entry Systems, Badge ID Systems etc.
  • Kiosks can be Networked to Administrator via eMail or SMS Text Alerts
  • Screens and stand can be branded for Corporate Identity
  • Reduced Risk of Error due to False Readings
  • Protects Key Workers (testing staff) from Infection
  • Payback from as little as Four Weeks
  • Can operate on a 24×7 basis
